Newington House is a stunning 17th century
stately home set in idyllic grounds
just an hour from London,
now available for exclusive hire

“Our wedding at Newington House was everything we dreamed of and more! The house was the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony at the front of the house, and our marquee reception at the back. The grounds were beautiful, and we were able to create the unique and bespoke day we always wanted!”

Newington House is one of the finest private estates in England. Just an hour from London, this country home is set within 50 acres of impeccable Oxfordshire countryside and exudes quintessentially British grace and character. The house’s story is impossibly romantic. Built in the 17th century as a gift for a homesick Italian princess by her British husband, the house is styled on Rubens’ collection of engravings, “The Palaces of Genoa”, and has been lovingly restored to the highest of standards by its current owners, the Nettleton family.

Guests are warmly invited through the gates to create their own unforgettable experiences within the grandeur of this stately retreat in an atmosphere that is both relaxing and welcoming.

Situated just one hour from London in Oxfordshire, the house proudly stands within 50 acres of unspoilt scenery. A river runs through the carefully maintained gardens, while the extensive grounds boast a lake, a walled garden, a tennis court, meadows and woodland, altogether a perfect English setting.
